Our History

A neighbourhood restaurant with a broad, seasonal menu that reflects the diverse culinary heritage of the British Isles

Since opening in 2006, Rivington Greenwich has won a strong following for its back-to-basics British cooking which takes eating out back to its roots. Our emphasis is on simple, British dishes cooked with seasonal ingredients sourced from high-quality suppliers within the British Isles. All produce is harvested responsibly from ocean and shore, forest and farm. All our fish comes from sustainable sources.

Located in the same building as the Greenwich Picture House cinema, Rivington Greenwich is set over two storeys, with a simple and comfortable loft-style dining room with a relaxed eating counter, a mezzanine seating 45 people for group parties and a 25-seat terrace. Like its sister restaurant in Shoreditch, the walls are whitewashed and hung with specially commissioned art from local artists, the floors are stripped wood and the tables dressed with white linen for evening service.

Here you can enjoy all-day dining and drinking, sip post-work cocktails at the bar with snacks from our bar menu, or spend a convivial evening in the restaurant. And at weekends, we serve a wonderfully hearty full English breakfast.
